COMMUNITY. CULTURE. COMMERCE
Bethesda is a vibrant "small town" just a few miles from Washington, DC. With just over 60,000 people, it has a city type feel while still being small enough to see your neighbors out and about and the many restaurants and shops.
Bethesda is situated along Wisconsin Avenue, which was originally the route of an ancient Native American Trail. Throughout the years it has continued to expand and is now home to the National Institute of Health (NIH), the National Naval Medical Hospital, and in a few years, Marriott International will call downtown Bethesda home. It's also home to some of the top public schools in the entire United States. In 2016 it placed on both Forbes' list of America's most educated small towns, and Time's list of top-earning towns.
With top earners, Bethesda has attracted numerous retailers to its "Bethesda Row," which are streets lined with retail stores such as Apple, The North Face, Georgetown Cupcake and more. After lots of shopping, you can stroll to one of the many fine dining and casual restaurants such as Mussel Bar, Mon Ami Gabi, Raku Sushi and Mike Isabella's Kapnos Kouzina. Click here to see more!
