Music pumping, live bands raging, sidewalks bustling with laughter, and late night pizza slices the size of your head - welcome to a weekend night in Adams Morgan! Many long-time Washingtonians recall it as the first neighborhood to be gentrified, while newer residents see it as a trendy hipster neighborhood with plenty of night-life and a large number of wonderful ethnic restaurants. It is also only a 10-minute walk to two Metro Stations on the red line, Woodley Park and Dupont Circle.
Probably the biggest benefit residents say about their neighborhood is its convenience to the action. 18th Street and Columbia Road are lined with a variety of restaurants and bars, most of which are small and independently-owned. Some of our favorites are The Diner, the sushi joint, Perry’s, that has an amazing rooftop bar, the Italian restaurant, Rosario's, and the Mexican eatery, Lauriol Plaza, that has a line forming outside most days.
