DC Home Buyer Program
Exclusively for Government Employees

Yesterday, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Eagle Bank announced a new program to make home buying more affordable in Washington, DC for all government employees. The program which can be layered with the already existing Home Purchase Assistance Program and the cities employee-specific Employer-Assisted Housing Program, will offer buyers a discount on mortgage interest rates, as well as potential credits towards closing costs.

The mortgage loan program will apply to conventional loans as well as home equity lines of credit, FHA loans, DC Opens Doors loans, and 203K rehabilitation loans. The program is exclusively for first-time homeowners and is set to begin in a few weeks.
